Giant Ameiva vs. Dusky Giant Ameiva
Both ameivas were released in Miami-Dade and live in the same vacant lots. A: Brown head and front, bright green back half in the Giant Ameiva; duskier all over: dark olive to grey-green, with pale blue spots in the Dusky Giant Ameiva. The two were long one species and look very alike; colour varies, and place and genetics separate them best.
