Hispaniolan Green Anole vs. Green Anole

Hispaniolan Green Anoles live in a few neighbourhoods of Broward and Miami-Dade among native Green Anoles. A: Pale sky-blue to greyish-blue, often with dark scale bases or dark skin showing through in the Hispaniolan Green Anole; bright pinkish-red to strawberry-red (rarely pale pink or white) in the Green Anole. Females and young of the two are very alike: plain green, able to turn brown. Florida's Hispaniolan green anoles were split in 2020: most are the Dominican Green Anole (A. callainus); iNaturalist keeps both names.
