Talladega Seal Salamander vs. Chattooga Dusky Salamander
Chattooga Duskies share some west Georgia streams with the Talladega Seal (none are known in Alabama). A: Brown with little pattern, often just scattered dark spots in the Talladega Seal Salamander; paired spots joined into a wavy band with dark edges, white flecks in the Chattooga Dusky Salamander. B: Knife-edged and blade-like in the Talladega Seal Salamander; mostly round, flattened only near the tip in the Chattooga Dusky Salamander. The Talladega Seal is the stouter, bigger-headed of the two.
