Brimley's Chorus Frog vs. Upland Chorus Frog
In Virginia Brimley's lives on the coastal plain and the Upland on the Piedmont and the western coastal plain; where they meet some Brimley's look like Uplands (NC Parks). A: Three clean, even dark stripes in the Brimley's Chorus Frog; thin, broken lines or rows of small spots in the Upland Chorus Frog. B: A bold dark stripe from the snout to the groin, the boldest mark in the Brimley's Chorus Frog; a thinner dark stripe through the eye, above a white lip line in the Upland Chorus Frog. The surest mark: Brimley's has a dark line along the outer edge of the shank, which the Upland lacks (NC Parks).
