Pig Frog vs. Green Frog
Both live in the ponds and swamps of far southeastern Texas. A: No ridges down the back in the Pig Frog; a raised ridge down each side of the back, stopping short of the hip in the Green Frog. B: Webbed right to the tip of the longest toe in the Pig Frog; the web leaves the last joints of the longest toe free in the Green Frog. Calls differ: the Pig Frog grunts; the Green Frog gives a single 'gunk' like a loose banjo string.
