Bird-voiced Treefrog vs. Cope's Gray Tree Frog
Both are grey, green or brown treefrogs with a dark lichen-like blotch on the back, and both change colour. As the frog jumps or is held, Cope's Gray Treefrog flashes bright orange-yellow mottled with dark on the hidden surface of the thigh; the Bird-voiced Treefrog's is pale green, greenish-yellow or whitish. The Bird-voiced is smaller and slimmer. By ear: the Bird-voiced gives a rapid run of clear bird-like whistles, wit-wit-wit; Cope's a fast, harsh trill.
