Mink Frog vs. Northern Leopard Frog
Both can be spotted green frogs. A Northern Leopard Frog has a pale ridge down each side of the back all the way to the hip, and round dark spots, each ringed with a pale border. A Mink Frog's ridges are missing or partial, and its pattern is an irregular mottling of dark blotches rather than separate round spots. Leopard Frogs wander into fields; Mink Frogs stay in the water.
