Spring Peeper vs. Western Chorus Frog
Look at the back: a dark X between the shoulders means Spring Peeper; three dark stripes means a chorus frog. Then the eye: a chorus frog has a bold dark stripe from the snout through the eye and down the side, over a white upper lip. A Spring Peeper has no bold eye stripe. The calls are nothing alike — a single high peep against a rising, comb-like crreek.
