Northern Zigzag Salamander vs. Northern Dusky Salamander
Look at the head and the legs. A Dusky has a pale line from behind the eye to the jaw and hind legs much heavier than the front. A Zigzag has neither; it has a wavy-edged stripe or, on dark animals, an orange patch where the front leg meets the body.
